Story by Patricia Graves

North Little Rock, AR

I proudly come from a family of educators, including my father, aunts, and even my great-grandmother.

My great aunt gifted me my great-grandmother’s classroom printer set of stamps as a wedding gift. Originally used her classroom, she let the grandkids and great grandkids play with the stamps after she retired. The copyright mark says 1932. The worn green box has lost its hinges but still securely holds a variety of small letter, number, word, and picture stamps.

While I never took it to my classroom, it still continues to be used in my art making process.
