My grandfather bought these two paintings for my grandmother while they were on their honeymoon in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1942. They were out shopping and apparently my grandmother fell in love with them when she saw them.
They are special to me because they are such a simple expression of true love. When I look at them, I can image my grandparents, young, just married, and in love.
