My fiancé and I have kept these flowers, rather they be in this jar or elsewhere, for all three years we have been a couple.
Each flower or petal comes from a date, a gift, or an experience that we’ve had together:
- Sunflowers from the pumpkin patch.
- Chrysanthemums from my college graduation.
- Lavender from a nice drink we shared at a restaurant.
The flowers may be dry, different from when they first came to us, but they are preserved and beautiful, just like the experiences they represent.
It’s lovely reminder of how beautiful those days were, and that there will be many more to come.
