Over Christmas break in 2022, my family decided to go on a trip to Roatan, Honduras.
We decided to go diving. I was not yet certified, unlike the rest of my family. So, I spent the months before Christmas on the certification process.
When I arrived in Roatan, there was one more part of the certification process that needed to be done. This part of the procedure was called the open water certification, where I would get with a dive master and go over the steps needed to pass in the water.
After I finished this, I was ready to go on my first real dive with my family. There were nurse sharks, bright and colorful coral, and hundreds of different types of fish surrounding us.
