This is a photo of my wife, Catherine, and I performing the title roles in the full-length production of Romeo & Juliet with the Alabama Ballet. She and I fell in love at the start of the rehearsal period, and subsequently, we danced leads together in many of the revered works of the classical repertoire as husband and wife.
Today, Catherine and I are fortunate to continue our work together as the directors of Ballet Arkansas, where we pass along our love for the art form to the next generation of professional dancers and students alike. This represents where and how our relationship began, and how dance – even today – is central to who we are and what we share.
