Story by Anthony White

Little Rock, AR

My mom graduated in the year of 1987 from Parkview High School. She was not only one of the only Black students in her graduating class, but was ranked sixth in her class.

This has inspired me to work hard in not only school, but everything I do. What can I say? It runs in the DNA.

My mom went on after high school to become a pharmacist and works hard every day. She is a prime subject of black success and this newspaper shows it.
